Preview Roundups
February 25, 2018
St. Louis at Nashville 12:00 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues gained at least a point in 23 of their first 31 games this season and are suddenly fighting for their lives in the playoff race as they visit the red-hot Nashville Predators on Sunday afternoon. The Blues have dropped five straight contests (0-4-1) while managing only seven goals in the stretch after suffering a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Winnipeg at home Friday.
Boston at Buffalo 5:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins look to end their five-game road trip with a winning record and reclaim second place in the Atlantic Division when they visit the Eastern Conference-worst Buffalo Sabres on Sunday. Boston is 2-2-0 on its trek after dropping a 4-3 decision in Toronto on Saturday that also put it one point behind the Maple Leafs in the division.
Detroit at NY Rangers 7:30 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings salvaged the finale of their four-game homestand last time out and now look to move closer to the second wild card in the Eastern Conference when they begin a five-game road trip Sunday against the struggling New York Rangers. Detroit began the string at Little Caesars Arena with three losses (0-2-1) before posting a 3-1 victory over Carolina on Saturday.
Edmonton at Anaheim 8:00 PM ET
With their season-high four-game winning streak a thing of the past, the Anaheim Ducks attempt to begin a new one when they start a four-game homestand Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers. The Ducks had the tables turned on them Saturday as they suffered a 2-0 loss at Arizona after winning their previous two games by the same score.
San Jose at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Wild have been a better team since the calendar turned to 2018 and look to continue their surge toward securing a playoff spot in the Western Conference when the San Jose Sharks pay a visit Sunday. The Wild have won three straight after Friday’s workmanlike 4-1 victory at the New York Rangers and own points in 18 of 22 games (14-4-4) since Jan. 1.
Vancouver at Arizona 9:30 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks have lost a little steam in their building process this month and hope to begin moving forward again when they continue their three-game road trip Sunday against the suddenly red-hot Arizona Coyotes. The Canucks showed plenty of promise early on as they started the campaign 14-10-4, but they have posted only two victories in February (2-7-1) after suffering a 6-3 loss at Vegas on Friday.
