Preview Roundups
December 29, 2018
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 5:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks have won six of their last seven games and with a victory Saturday against the visiting Brooklyn Nets would own the best record in the NBA by percentage points. The Bucks enter the day a half-game behind the Toronto Raptors for the league's top mark after sweeping a home-and-home set with the New York Knicks and then watching the Raptors fall Friday night in Orlando.
Houston at New Orleans 7:00 PM ET
The scorching Houston Rockets seek their fourth straight win and ninth in 10 contests when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. Reigning MVP James Harden has ignited the surge with eight straight 30-point outings, including four efforts of more than 40.
Charlotte at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The banged-up Washington Wizards will try to snap a three-game losing streak when they continue a homestand against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. Playing without point guard John Wall (heel), forward Otto Porter (knee) and forward Markieff Morris (neck), the Wizards fell 101-92 to the Chicago Bulls to begin the three-game stay at home Friday night.
Cleveland at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Atlanta Hawks have won four out of their last five to move out of the basement in the Eastern Conference. They will try to stay hot when they take on the team currently occupying last place in the East when the Cleveland Cavaliers pay a visit Saturday night.
Boston at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics thought they were taking some momentum onto the road after outlasting the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Christmas day, but the first stop of the three-game trip turned into a demoralizing affair. The Celtics will try to pick it up and give themselves a chance at a winning trip when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
New York at Utah 8:00 PM ET
The Utah Jazz are having some trouble putting together a winning streak and no longer have a chance to close out 2018 with a .500 record. The Jazz will try to finish up 2018 with a win and earn a split of a four-game homestand when they host the struggling New York Knicks on Saturday.
Denver at Phoenix 9:00 PM ET
The best team in the Western Conference squares off against the worst when the Denver Nuggets visit the lowly Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Denver protected its conference lead with a 102-99 win over San Antonio on Friday and has prevailed in 12 of its last 16 games.
Golden State at Portland 10:00 PM ET
Damian Lillard didn't miss his chance to win a game in overtime on Thursday, but Kevin Durant did. Durant and the Golden State Warriors will try to get some quick revenge when they visit Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday in the back end of the home-and-home set.
San Antonio at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
Lou Williams is coming off his top performance of the season and the Los Angeles Clippers hope he has more in the tank when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. The reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year poured in a season-high 36 points on Friday to rally the Clippers to a 118-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
