Preview Roundups
December 05, 2018
Golden State at Cleveland 7:00 PM ET
It doesn't have quite the same juice as it used to when LeBron James was around, but it's still special when the participants in the last four NBA Finals get together in the regular season. The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to get some revenge when they host the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.
Denver at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets will try to avoid a letdown following perhaps their best win of the season when they continue a five-game road trip at the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. Even after losing leading scorer Gary Harris (hip) in the first half, the Nuggets held on to top NBA-leading Toronto by a 106-103 margin Monday night.
Washington at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Washington Wizards kicked off a four-game road swing with a victory Monday at New York and look to continue banking wins against struggling teams when they play at the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. The Wizards, who began the trip just 2-9 away from home, played one of their best quarters of the season to take control against the Knicks, hitting 15-of-25 shots from the field in the third quarter (4-of-9 from 3-point range) en route to a 110-107 victory.
Oklahoma City at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets are sinking with losses in seven straight, though four of the setbacks came by six or fewer points. The Oklahoma City Thunder, who visit the Nets on Wednesday, are streaking in the opposite direction with wins in three in a row and 15 of the last 18 games.
Philadelphia at Toronto 8:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors were due for a letdown, and not letting it linger will be the key. The Raptors, who had an eight-game winning streak come to an end with a 106-103 home loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday, will take on another stiff challenge when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
L.A. Clippers at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
An overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 23 began a stretch of four setbacks in five games for the Memphis Grizzlies. Host Memphis will attempt to dig out of its slide when it clashes against the Clippers again on Wednesday.
Detroit at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons ended a six-game homestand with their largest margin of defeat of the season. The Pistons look to rebound from the 110-83 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
Charlotte at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves are winners of five of their last six games and reached .500 with a 103-91 victory over the Houston Rockets on Monday. The Timberwolves will try to pull over .500 for the first time this season and finish up a winning four-game homestand when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
Dallas at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans look to escape their recent funk when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. New Orleans has dropped six of its last eight games as it looks to slow a Dallas squad that already is halfway to last season's 24-win total.
San Antonio at L.A. Lakers 10:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs look to post their third straight win in the season series when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday for the opener of a home-and-home set. San Antonio recorded a 143-142 overtime victory in Los Angeles on Oct. 22 and registered a 110-106 home triumph over the Lakers five days later.
