Texas at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
Texas Rangers rookie first baseman Ronald Guzman quickly is developing a reputation as a Yankee killer, even though his sample size is small. Guzman belted three home runs as the Rangers halted the New York Yankees' four-game winning streak, leveling the series at one game apiece entering Saturday afternoon's matchup at Yankee Stadium.
Boston at Baltimore 1:05 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox have saved some of their best offensive efforts for their American League East rivals, although none of them quite compared to their last performance. The Red Sox hope to put their major league-best offense on display two more times Saturday when they visit the Baltimore Orioles for a day-night doubleheader between the best and worst teams in baseball.
Washington at Chi. Cubs 4:05 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs have not lost a series at home in nearly three months and they can clinch another win at Wrigley Field when they continue a three-game set with the Washington Nationals on Saturday. The Cubs eked out a 3-2 victory Friday afternoon in the series opener to improve to 36-21 in "The Friendly Confines" while bumping their lead in the National League Central to three games over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Tampa Bay at Toronto 4:07 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays finally were able to enjoy a breather following six consecutive one-run decisions, opening a nine-game road trip by blitzing the Toronto Blue Jays 7-0 in Friday night's series opener. The Rays have dominated the season series against the Blue Jays, winning six of seven entering Saturday's matinee at Rogers Centre.
Minnesota at Detroit 6:10 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers ended a six-game losing streak in the series opener and look to put back-to-back wins together for just the second time in more than a month when they host the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night. Niko Goodrum and Jose Iglesias each belted two-run homers and the Tigers held on for a 5-3 victory on Friday after managing just eight runs during their winless six-game road trip.
Arizona at Cincinnati 6:40 PM ET
Five hits usually aren't enough for a team to record a victory, even when it's facing a last-place club. The Arizona Diamondbacks hope for a better offensive effort when they visit the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series.
Boston at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox have saved some of their best offensive efforts for their American League East rivals, although none of them quite compared to their last performance. The Red Sox hope to put their major league-best offense on display two more times Saturday when they visit the Baltimore Orioles for a day-night doubleheader between the best and worst teams in baseball.
Cleveland at Chi. White Sox 7:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians look to avoid losing a road series for the first time in almost six weeks when they visit the Chicago White Sox for the middle contest of a three-game set Saturday night. The Indians, who last lost a road series June 29-July 1 at Oakland, were blanked 1-0 on Friday night in the opener against the White Sox but maintained their 11-game lead in the American League Central.
Milwaukee at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves overcame a mid-July slump to win nine of their last 12 games entering Saturday’s home matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers, and a rejuvenated offense has them rolling as the wild National League playoff race intensifies. The Braves are tied with Philadelphia for the top spot in the NL East and moved percentage points ahead of former wild-card leader Milwaukee by smashing the Brewers 10-1 in the series opener, backed by four RBIs from Ender Inciarte.
NY Mets at Miami 7:10 PM ET
The New York Mets can clinch a series win on the road for the first time since April when they play the second of three games at the Miami Marlins on Saturday night. Amed Rosario had three hits and two RBIs to back a solid effort by starter Zack Wheeler as the Mets opened the set with a 6-2 win Friday.
Seattle at Houston 7:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners have scored 13 runs while beating Houston on back-to-back nights and look to continue their offensive production when they visit the Astros on Saturday for the third contest of their four-game series. Seattle has been sparked by new leadoff hitter Mitch Haniger, who has gone 6-for-9 with a homer, four doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored in the two wins.
St. Louis at Kansas City 7:15 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals are hanging around in the National League playoff race, and a couple more days on the opposite side of the state should help their cause. The Cardinals will try to beat up on the host Kansas City Royals for a second straight night when the intrastate rivals continue their three-game interleague series Saturday.
LA Dodgers at Colorado 8:10 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies may be without All-Star slugger Nolan Arenado on Saturday, when they host the Los Angeles Dodgers for the third contest of their four-game series. Arenado departed Friday's 5-4 victory with right shoulder soreness and said afterward that he hopes to be able to play on Saturday.
Philadelphia at San Diego 8:40 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies have been blanked in back-to-back games and look to rediscover their offense when they visit the San Diego Padres on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series. Philadelphia has recorded just one extra-base hit among 12 hits during the two-game slumber and left 10 runners on base in Friday's 2-0 loss.
Pittsburgh at San Francisco 9:05 PM ET
Stuck in neutral for much of the season, the San Francisco Giants are running out of time to make a postseason push. Currently seven games out of a National League wild-card spot, the Giants are hoping to build on a rare offensive outburst when they continue their four-game series on Saturday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates.
Oakland at LA Angels 9:07 PM ET
Things started off well for the Oakland Athletics in their series opener against the Los Angeles Angels but ended quite differently. Oakland looks to bounce back from its second loss on three games when it visits the Angels on Saturday for the middle contest of the three-game set.
