Oakland at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
As long as the Oakland Athletics are playing against teams from the American League East, they seem to find a way to win. The Athletics will try to improve to 5-1 against AL East foes over the last week-plus when they visit the New York Yankees in the second of a three-game series on Saturday.
Texas at Toronto 1:07 PM ET
Instead of allowing Josh Donaldson or Troy Tulowitzki to get all the glory in their first game back in over a month, Devon Travis stole the stage yet again in what is becoming a May to remember for the 26-year-old second baseman. Coming off one of the best games of his three-year major-league career, Travis looks to extend his hitting streak to 11 games Saturday when the resurgent Toronto Blue Jays continue their three-game series against the visiting Texas Rangers.
Detroit at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox and visiting Detroit Tigers are scheduled to play a doubleheader for the second straight day when they clash on Saturday. Friday's attempt didn't start well as the afternoon portion was rained out before Chicago rolled to an 8-2 victory in a night contest that started 85 minutes late due to more rain.
Tampa Bay at Minnesota 2:10 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays are starting to feel quite comfortable on the road and hope to continue the trend when they visit the American League Central-leading Minnesota Twins on Saturday afternoon. The Rays were 3-10 away from home in April and have won seven of nine on the road in May after opening a nine-game trek with three homers in a solid 5-2 victory Friday night.
Cincinnati at Philadelphia 4:05 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds struggled as much at Citizens Bank Park over the last decade as any team, but it doesn't appear as if the Philadelphia Phillies have an offense at this point capable of taking advantage of what has been a lopsided home-field advantage between the two teams. The Reds attempt to guarantee themselves a rare series win in Philadelphia on Saturday when they continue a three-game set against the Phillies.
San Diego at Washington 4:05 PM ET
Stephen Strasburg grew up rooting for the San Diego Padres and now he frequently defeats his once-beloved club. The Washington Nationals right-hander looks to improve to 6-1 all-time against the Padres when the Nationals host the middle contest of a three-game set.
Seattle at Boston 4:05 PM ET
Suddenly, the Boston Red Sox are stringing solid games together and looking a lot like the team that won the American League East last season. The Red Sox will try to push the winning streak to six straight and clinch a second consecutive series win when they host the Seattle Mariners in the second of a three-game series on Saturday.
Kansas City at Cleveland 4:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals ended a long losing streak at Progressive Field with an inspiring comeback in the series opener and look to make it two in a row when they visit the Cleveland Indians on Saturday in the middle contest of the three-game set. The Royals had lost eight straight at Cleveland and trailed by four runs early Friday before recording six extra-base hits en route to a 6-4 victory.
LA Angels at Miami 4:10 PM ET
The Miami Marlins are no longer the owners of the worst record in baseball and can see a future with more runs scored if Giancarlo Stanton continues to produce. The Marlins will try to secure back-to-back wins for the first time this month and clinch a series win when they host the Los Angeles Angels in the second of a three-game interleague set on Saturday.
Arizona at Milwaukee 4:10 PM ET
The hottest team in the majors will give the ball to one of the game's hottest pitchers when the Arizona Diamondbacks start Zack Greinke in the third of a four-game series at the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. Greinke has won four straight starts while sporting a 2.37 ERA and he has been dominant at Miller Park, winning 16 of 18 career decisions.
Detroit at Chi. White Sox 5:40 PM ET
Baltimore at Houston 7:15 PM ET
The Houston Astros are expected to have their ace and his favorite batterymate back Saturday as they continue their three-game series against the visiting Baltimore Orioles. Dallas Keuchel is slated to be activated from the 10-day disabled list and start for Houston, which posted a 2-0 victory in the opener on Friday.
Chi. Cubs at LA Dodgers 7:15 PM ET
Adrian Gonzalez finally went deep for the first time this season and looks to continue flexing his muscle when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. Gonzalez belted a two-run homer in the sixth inning on Friday as Los Angeles claimed a 4-0 victory in the opener of the three-game series.
NY Mets at Pittsburgh 7:15 PM ET
The New York Mets received a boost from their ace in the opener of a series at Pittsburgh and the Pirates will hope for a similar effort from theirs when the teams meet again Saturday. Jacob deGrom struck out 10 while allowing one run in 8 1/3 innings to lift the Mets to an 8-1 win in Friday's opener, snapping the club's six-game road losing streak.
St. Louis at Colorado 9:10 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies were back at it offensively in the series opener after a brief hiccup and hope to continue swinging hot bats in the middle contest of their three-game set against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Colorado used a 14-hit attack to pound St. Louis 10-0 on Friday for its fifth win in six games.
Atlanta at San Francisco 10:05 PM ET
San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy plans to give rookie Christian Arroyo the day off Saturday as the team continues its three-game series against the visiting Atlanta Braves, and it sure seems like the 21-year-old could use the break. Arroyo is mired in a lengthy slump with six hits in his last 52 at-bats for the underachieving Giants, who have lost four straight to fall 10 games under .500.
