Vanderbilt 63, Texas A&M 56: Rod Odom scored 19 points and Dai-Jon Parker added 17 as the host Commodores won for only the second time in their last seven games.
Vanderbilt (10-14, 4-8 SEC) led 25-21 at halftime on the strength of Parker’s 3-point shooting. He hit all three of his tries in the first half and finished 5-of-7 from deep.
Odom has scored 59 points in his last four games. He went 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Vanderbilt center Josh Henderson had 11 points and five rebounds off the bench.
Texas A&M (15-10, 5-7) got 14 points from Elston Turner and 12 from Ray Turner, who aren’t related.
The Aggies shot 3-of-12 on 3-pointers and finished with just 10 assists.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Aggies G Fabyon Harris failed to score in double figures for only the fourth time in the last 16 games, finishing with nine points on 3-of-9 shooting. … Texas A&M has alternated wins and losses the past six games. … This was the first meeting between the schools as SEC members. Vanderbilt won the only previous meeting, in 1955.
