Dylan Talley logged 16 points and seven rebounds as the host Cornhuskers snapped a two-game losing streak to sweep the season series against the Nittany Lions.

Brandon Ubel added 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks and Ray Gallegos chipped in 11 points and five boards for Nebraska (12-12, 3-8 Big Ten). The Cornhuskers recorded just eight turnovers.

D.J. Newbill led Penn State (8-15, 0-11) with 17 points. Jermaine Marshall had 16 off the bench as the Nittany Lions remained winless in conference play and on the road (0-5).

Nebraska used a 20-4 run, keyed by Gallegos and Talley 3-pointers, to turn a four-point deficit into a 33-21 lead with 2:06 remaining in the first half. After Penn State scored the last five points of the half to pull within 33-26 at halftime, the Cornhuskers netted the first eight points of the second half to push their cushion to 41-26 with 16:51 left in regulation.

The Nittany Lions never got closer than 12 down the stretch. Nebraska held Penn State to 29.2 percent shooting from the field and 20 percent from beyond the arc.
