Cameron Bairstow, Tony Snell and Alex Kirk scored 14 points apiece to lead five starters in double figures for the host Lobos.

Hugh Greenwood contributed 13 points and Kendall Williams had 11 points, six rebounds and seven assists for New Mexico (20-3, 7-1 MWC).

Mike Fitzgerald and Michael Lyons scored 16 points apiece to lead Air Force (14-7, 5-3), which had its five-game winning streak snapped.

The Lobos took a double-digit lead midway through the first half and extended it to as much as 16 points before taking a 42-29 advantage into the locker room. Four different players scored at least seven points for New Mexico during the first half.

Air Force got as close as six with 10:37 left, but an ensuing 9-3 run by the Lobos put them ahead by double digits for good.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Lobos have won 13 consecutive games against Air Force and 23 straight overall when leading at halftime. … New Mexico shot 48.1 percent from the floor to extend its winning streak to 18 games when shooting at least 40 percent. … Air Force came in shooting 39.4 from 3-point range, good for 17th in the nation, but shot 29.2 percent Wednesday.
