Georgia 57, Auburn 49: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 20 points to lead the host Bulldogs to their third victory in their past four games.

Caldwell-Pope provided Georgia (9-11, 3-4 SEC) just enough offense on a night where both teams struggled to score. Second in the SEC in scoring at 17.3 points, the sophomore guard shot 7-for-11 from the field and hit two 3-pointers.

Auburn (8-12, 2-5) pulled within 48-46 on Frankie Sullivan’s free throw with 2:21 remaining. Caldwell-Pope tipped in a missed shot with 1:07 to go to make it 50-46, and two Caldwell-Pope free throws with 31 seconds left made it 53-47.

Sullivan, third in the SEC in scoring at 16.9 points, and Allen Payne led the Tigers with 13 points each. The Tigers have lost five in a row since beginning SEC play with two consecutive victories. Auburn shot 28.3 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulldogs weren’t much better, hitting 44.2 percent of their shots from the field and shooting 57.7 percent from the free-throw line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Charles Mann scored 10 points for Georgia on 4-of-8 shooting. No other Georgia player hit more than two shots from the field. … Auburn matched a season low in points. The Tigers also scored 49 in a one-point loss Nov. 21 at Boston College.
