Marshawn Powell recorded 18 points and seven rebounds as the host Razorbacks cruised past the Braves.

Powell was 7-for-9 from the field and made both of his 3-point attempts for Arkansas (5-4), which forced 24 turnovers and outrebounded Alcorn State 41-26. Coty Clarke had 14 points and Michael Qualls added 10.

LeAntwan Luckett led the Braves (2-7) with a game-high 20 points while Anthony Nieves scored 15 and Tyrel Hunt chipped in 12.

After a 3-pointer from Mardracus Wade capped an early 9-0 run to give the Razorbacks a five-point lead just 3:44 into the game, two three-point plays from Clarke highlighted a 10-0 stretch which extended the lead to 31-16 with 8:18 left in the period.

A 3-pointer by Powell with 5:52 remaining before intermission sparked a 22-3 half-closing run as Arkansas took a 53-24 lead. The Razorbacks outscored Alcorn State 44-35 in the second half to close out the victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Powell has scored at least 18 points in each of his last four games and six of nine this season. ... Arkansas hauled in 21 offensive rebounds. ... Alcorn State falls to 0-5 on the road this season.
