Drew Crawford poured in 28 points to lead Northwestern to a 69-65 victory over Tulsa on Friday and into the championship game at the Charleston Classic.

John Shurna had a rough shooting afternoon but still managed 15 points for the Wildcats (3-0), who will face either Seton Hall or St. Joseph’s in Sunday’s championship game.

Crawford kept Northwestern in the game in the first half, accounting for eight of the team’s 15 field goals and totaling 20 points before the break.

Shurna shot 5 of 16 from the floor but had one of the most important buckets of the game when he drove the lane with 1:45 left and drew contact while knocking down a one-handed runner. The senior swingman hit the free throw to complete the three-point play and push the Wildcats out to a 65-60 lead.

Jordan Clarkson came back and hit a deep 3-pointer for the Golden Hurricane, but Shurna split a pair of free throws and Northwestern sealed it at the line.

Clarkson finished with 16 points for Tulsa (3-1), which will play the loser of Seton Hall vs. St. Joseph in the third-place game on Sunday.
