Terrance Ross scored 25 points, while Tony Wroten added 22 to lead Washington over Arizona. The Huskies dominated inside, outscoring the Wildcats 42-22 in the paint, and outrebounding Arizona 43-38.

Washington’s C.J. Wilcox broke the game open from the outside. Wilcox made three straight field goals, two three-pointers and a jumper with 4:59 left that put the Huskies up 71-62, its biggest lead since being up 10 in the first half. Until that point, Washington had made just one of 15 3-point attempts. Wilcox finished with 11 points, while Aziz N’ Diaya led all with 12 rebounds.

Nick Johnson led Arizona (19-9, 10-5 Pac-12) with 20 points.

Washington (19-8, 12-3 Pac-12) held Arizona to just 32.3 percent shooting in the second half (11 of 34).

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Arizona kept it close by making four of its first five 3-pointers to trail 39-35 at the half... Washington made five of its first six shots to start the second half… Arizona’s leading scorer, Kyle Fogg, scored 11 points, but just two in the second half.
