Khris Middleton finished with 17 points and David Loubeau added 15 and nine rebounds as Texas A&M knocked off No. 22 Washington, 63-62, Saturday.

The Aggies’ defense was in top form, forcing the Huskies into a season-high 20 turnovers while holding them to 37.7 percent shooting en route to their 70th straight non-conference home victory.

Washington (6-3) held a 47-46 lead after C.J. Wilcox and Darnell Gant knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers eight minutes into the second half. But the Aggies turned up the defense at that point, holding the Huskies without a point over the next four minutes as Middleton scored six straight points during an 8-0 run to give Texas A&M a 54-47 edge.

The Aggies (9-1) have now beaten two teams ranked in the top-25 at the time of the game and have three home games and a neutral site contest against Arkansas remaining before Big 12 play begins.

The Huskies came into the game leading the NCAA in scoring at 95.5 points per game but were stifled by Texas A&M’s physical play. Washington, which suffered its first two losses against top-10 teams, is now likely to drop out of the top-25.
