The Portland Trail Blazers outscored the Memphis Grizzlies 43-24 in the third quarter, breaking open a tight game in a 113-98 victory Sunday night at Moda Center.

Damian Lillard scored 27 points and CJ McCollum added 20 points for the Trail Blazers, who won for the 17th time in the last 20 outings.

Rookie Dillon Brooks scored 28 points for the Grizzlies, who also got 17 points from Wayne Selden and 13 off the bench from Ben McLemore.

All five starters scored in double figures for Portland, including 17 points apiece from Evan Turner and Al-Farouq Aminu and 10 from Jusuf Nurkic. Lillard and McCollum each had nine assists.

The Blazers made 23 of 25 from the free throw line and scored 27 points off of 17 Memphis turnovers.

Lillard scored 13 points to help stake Portland to a 55-51 halftime lead. Selden had 11 points and Brooks 10 for Memphis at the half.

The Blazers outscored the Grizzlies 27-12 to start the third quarter, jacking their lead to 82-63. Portland carried a 98-75 edge into the final period. Memphis then went on a 20-5 tear, trimming the margin to 103-95 on a driving layup by Marquis Teague with 3:21 to go.

Lillard scored on a drive to make it 105-95 with 3:04 remaining. The Grizzlies got no closer the rest of the way.

Portland burst to a 22-7 lead in the game's first seven minutes as Memphis started 3 for 12 from the field. Brooks' 40-foot bank shot as time expired brought the Grizzlies to within 32-24 after one quarter.

Back-to-back three-point plays by Teague and Brooks cut Portland's advantage to 39-37 early in the second quarter. When McLemore scored on a fast-break layup, the Grizzlies took a 49-48 lead. The Blazers took a four-point bulge into the break.
