KINGS 114, BOBCATS 88: DeMarcus Cousins scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds as visiting Sacramento sent Charlotte to its 20th straight loss.

The Bobcats, who are 7-56, will finish with the worst winning percentage in NBA history if they lose their last three games. Charlotte finishes the season with road games against Washington on Monday and Orlando on Wednesday before hosting New York on Thursday.

Tyreke Evans scored 22 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the field for Sacramento.

Byron Mullens, Kemba Walker and Derrick Brown scored 13 points apiece for Charlotte.

It appeared coming into the game the Bobcats had a realistic chance of not only breaking their losing streak but avoiding history as well. The Kings, who played without leading scorer Marcus Thornton, were tied with New Orleans for the worst record in the Western Conference and had lost nine of 10.

Instead, the Bobcats provided little competition. Charlotte never led and the game's only tie was 2-2.

Sacramento led by double figures midway through the first quarter and the lead reached 31-15 late in the period.

Charlotte cut the lead to 61-50 early in the third quarter, but the Kings put the game away with a 14-2 run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Kings broke a six-game losing streak against the Bobcats. ... Thornton has missed six games this month with injuries to his left leg. ... Bobcats point guard D.J. Augustin (left knee tendinitis) missed his fourth straight game.
