NETS 102, BOBCATS 89: Kris Humphries had 20 points and 16 rebounds and Deron Williams added 19 points and 14 assists as New Jersey snapped a five-game losing skid.

Gerald Wallace scored 15 points and Sheldon Williams chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds to help the Nets sweep the four-game season series.

Byron Mullens had 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to lead the league-worst Bobcats. Corey Maggette added 13 points.

The Nets carried a six-point lead out of halftime before pulling away in the third. Wallace keyed an 8-0 spurt with six points midway through the period that morphed into an 18-2 run to close out the frame.

Gerald Green hit a jumper, Wallace nailed a 3-pointer, Anthony Morrow made three free throws and Jordan Farmar capped the run with a layup to give New Jersey an 81-58 lead heading into the fourth.

The Nets were able to take advantage of Charlotte’s inefficiencies in the paint, where they held a 50-34 scoring edge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bobcats remain stuck on three road victories, the fewest in the NBA. … The Nets converted 19 of 22 free-throw attempts. … Charlotte’s starters combined for just 40 points.
