Jonas Jerebko scored 20 points to lead the Detroit Pistons to their first victory of the season, a 96-88 win over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.

Indiana (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season.

The Pistons (1-3) had lost their first three games by an average of 12.6 points, but went ahead for good in this one late in the first quarter. After leading by eight points at halftime, Detroit took control of the game and stretched the margin to 80-61 late in the third quarter.

Indiana cut the lead to 94-88 with just under a minute to play, but got no closer. The Pacers defense, which had allowed an average of 85 points coming into the game, had no answer for Detroit's balanced attack, which saw all five starters reach double figures.

Greg Monroe scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds. Jerebko also had 11 boards.

George Hill and Tyler Hansborough led Indiana with 16 points each.
