Ryan O'Hearn had three RBIs, including a tiebreaking two-run double, and Lucas Duda went 3-for-4 with a homer as the Kansas City Royals recorded a 7-1 victory over the visiting Cleveland Indians on Saturday night at Kauffman Stadium.

Right-hander Heath Fillmyer (2-1) allowed one run and three hits over six innings as the Royals notched back-to-back wins for the first time since victories on July 31 and Aug. 1.

Kansas City lost 17 of 21 games before receiving solo homers from O'Hearn and Hunter Dozier in the bottom of the ninth to beat Cleveland on Friday night. The Royals followed up with 14 hits on Saturday, with O'Hearn, Jorge Bonifacio, Adalberto Mondesi and Whit Merrifield each registering two.

Kansas City racked Indians right-hander Corey Kluber (16-7) for five runs and nine hits over 5 1/3 innings to squash his attempt to become the first 17-game winner in the majors. The two-time American League Cy Young Award winner struck out six and walked two.

Kluber had a four-game winning streak halted and dropped to 8-2 this season against AL Central foes.

The loss was the fourth in a row for Cleveland, matching a season worst that occurred twice earlier this season.

O'Hearn's two-run double in the fourth inning drove in Salvador Perez and Duda to give Kansas City a 3-1 lead, and Fillmyer protected the lead until his exit. He struck out three and walked two before departing after 105 pitches.

Left-hander Tim Hill (two outs, one hit), right-hander Jake Newberry (four straight outs) and right-hander Jason Hammel (one hit allowed in the ninth) combined for three scoreless innings to complete a five-hitter.

Cleveland's lone run against Fillmyer came in the second inning, when the 24-year-old was called for a balk with runners on second and third.

The Royals evened the score in the bottom of the third when Mondesi singled, stole second and scored on Merrifield's single to right.

After O'Hearn's go-ahead double in the fourth, Kansas City added two runs in the sixth to chase Kluber.

Duda slugged an 0-1 curveball over the fence in right with one out to make it 4-1. Bonifacio followed with a single, O'Hearn walked and Dozier smacked a run-scoring single to left to make it 5-1 and end Kluber's outing.

Merrifield added an RBI double in the seventh off right-hander Dan Otero to make it a five-run margin, and O'Hearn added a run-scoring single in the eighth off right-hander Josh Tomlin.
