Freddie Freeman's RBI sacrifice fly broke a tie in the eighth inning Wednesday to give the visiting Atlanta Braves a 2-1 win and a three-game series sweep against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Each team had just three hits.

Ronald Acuna Jr. hit a solo homer for Atlanta, which bounced back after being swept in four games by Colorado.

Colin Moran had a two-out RBI single for the Pirates, who ended a seven-game homestand 2-5 with a combined seven runs scored.

Atlanta right-hander Julio Teheran (9-7) allowed one run and two hits in seven innings, with five strikeouts and a walk.

Jonny Venters pitched the ninth for his second save.

Pittsburgh starter Trevor Williams pitched six innings, allowing one run and two hits, with four strikeouts and two walks. He has a 0.97 ERA in six starts since the All-Star break but is 3-2 based mostly on a lack of run support.

Kyle Crick (2-2) surrendered the tiebreaking run in the eighth.

Acuna led off the game with his 20th homer, a shot to left, to give Atlanta a 1-0 lead.

Teheran was perfect through 4 1/3 innings and, at that point, had a personal streak of 26 innings against the Pirates without giving up an earned run.

In the fifth, Adam Frazier drew a one-out walk. He moved to second on Josh Bell's groundout and scored on Moran's single to right for a 1-1 tie.

Against Crick in the eighth, Atlanta's Dansby Swanson singled to left, went to second on a wild pitch and stole third. Crick walked pinch hitter Adam Duvall and Acuna, prompting Pittsburgh to switch to Edgar Santana with the bases loaded and no one out. Santana needed just five pitches to get out of it with only one run scoring.

Ender Inciarte grounded into a fielder's choice, with Swanson forced out at home. Freeman's sacrifice fly to left brought Duvall home for a 2-1 Braves lead, and Santana struck out Johan Camargo after intentionally walking Nick Markakis.
