Ian Kinsler hit a two-run homer with two outs in the top of the seventh inning Friday night as the visiting Los Angeles Angels beat the Minnesota Twins 4-2 at Target Field.

Kinsler gave the Angels a 3-2 lead when he drove a 1-2 curveball from Ryan Pressly (0-1) into the left-field seats. It was Kinsler's seventh homer of the season and his fifth homer in the last 10 games.

Martin Maldonado hit an RBI single in the second for the Angels, who did not get another hit until Maldonado doubled to left two batters before Kinsler homered.

Justin Upton added his 15th homer when he opened the eighth with a shot to left-center field off Addison Reed.

Robbie Grossman snapped a 1-1 tie by hitting a one-out homer in the sixth off Garrett Richards, Grossman's second of the season. Miguel Sano also hit an RBI double in the second.

The Angels won their fifth straight game after finding out earlier Friday rookie Shohei Ohtani has a Grade 2 sprain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. They also won for the sixth time in seven games on a night when Mike Trout was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Richards allowed two runs and six hits in 5 1/3 innings and took a no-decision. Noe Ramirez (2-2) struck out three in 1 1/3 innings, and Jose Alvarez retired Eduardo Escobar with a runner on first to end the seventh before tossing a perfect eighth.

Blake Parker pitched a perfect ninth for his sixth save in seven opportunities.

Lance Lynn allowed one run and four hits in six innings. He struck out seven, including Trout with the bases loaded in the second after allowing hits to four of five batters.

Lynn missed a chance at winning his fourth straight start.

The Angels pieced together three straight hits with one out in the second and took a 1-0 lead on a base hit up the middle by Maldonado. After Kinsler reached on an infield single, Lynn fanned Trout on a full-count fastball.

Minnesota tied the game with one out in the second when Sano's grounder took a high hop and went into left field.

The Twins took a 2-1 lead with one out in the sixth when Grossman hit a full-count breaking ball well over the right field fence.
