Rockies 3, Dodgers 2: Alex White took a shutout into the seventh and Todd Helton reached base three times as host Colorado won for the sixth time in seven games.

Jordan Pacheco added a run-scoring double as the Rockies won two of three against National League West-leading Los Angeles, which has lost six of seven.

White (2-3) gave up two runs and two hits in 6 2/3 innings with the runs coming on a two-run homer by A.J. Ellis in the seventh. White walked five and struck out two.

Matt Belisle got four outs and Rafael Betancourt worked the ninth for his 10th save in 11 opportunities to wrap up the combined three-hitter. The final two outs came on balls hit to the warning track by Ellis and Tony Gwynn Jr.

Helton delivered a run-scoring single in the sixth and Pacheco’s double to the right-center field gap made it 3-0.

Colorado’s first run was plated on Marco Scutaro’s first-inning groundout.

Los Angeles starter Nathan Eovaldi (0-2) gave up three runs – two earned – and five hits in 5 2/3 innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies outfielder Dexter Fowler extended his hitting streak to eight games and is 16-for-28 (.571) during the stretch … The homer by Ellis increased his hitting streak to seven games … Colorado placed pitcher Juan Nicasio (knee) on the disabled list and recalled pitcher Guillermo Moscoso from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Nicasio left Saturday’s game in the second inning upon being injured … Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon was back in the leadoff spot after batting eighth in 11 straight games.
