Rangers 10, Angels 3
: Josh Hamilton continued his power surge with a pair of home runs as host Texas claimed the opener of a three-game series for its fourth win in five contests.

Mitch Moreland homered and drove in three runs while Craig Gentry and Nelson Cruz combined for five hits and four RBIs for the Rangers, who have won 13 of 20 meetings with the Angels.

Adrian Beltre gave Texas a 1-0 lead with an RBI single off former Ranger C.J. Wilson in the first. After a rain delay of nearly two hours, the home team scored five more times in the inning for a 6-0 advantage.

Hamilton added solo homers in the second and fourth innings to raise his major league-leading total to 17. The slugger has gone deep eight times over his last five games.

Yu Darvish (5-1) rebounded from his first loss in the majors, allowing three runs and striking out seven over 5 1/3 innings. The Japanese sensation, who has 37 strikeouts over his last four outings, has yielded three earned runs or fewer in each of his last six starts.

Wilson (4-3), who had his two-game winning streak snapped, did not return after the rain delay. The left-hander retired just one of the five batters he faced, allowing four runs and three hits with a walk.

Jerome Williams, who was scheduled to start Saturday's game, replaced Wilson and surrendered six runs and 11 hits over 6 2/3 innings.

Mike Trout and Torii Hunter homered for the Angels, who had won seven of 10.
