White Sox 10, Astros 1: Chris Sale pitched eight scoreless innings to win his fifth straight start and Adam Dunn belted a grand slam as Chicago crushed visiting Houston.

Gordon Beckham had three hits and three RBIs and Alejandro De Aza went 4-for-5 as the White Sox sent the Astros to their 11th loss in 14 games.

Sale (8-2) continued his dominant stretch, allowing only four hits while striking out seven and not walking a batter to join David Price and Matt Harrison as the American League's only eight-game winners.

The 23-year-old Sale lowered his ERA to 2.05 and has yielded only four runs while striking out 43 during the five-game winning streak.

Beckham added a two-run single and De Aza added an RBI base hit as Chicago chased Astros starter Jordan Lyles with a five-run fourth inning.

Dunn, who had a sacrifice fly in the fourth, put an exclamation point on the rout with his 12th career grand slam off Rhiner Cruz in the eighth inning, giving him 19 homers on the season.

Lyles (1-2) was charged with five runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings, his shortest start since his second career outing in June 2011. Jed Lowrie homered in the ninth for Houston's only run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Six of Sale's eight victories have come after a Chicago loss. He took a hard grounder off the foot in the sixth inning that knocked him down but he remained in the game. ... The Astros fell to 4-17 in games started by Lyles. ... White Sox LF Dayan Viciedo sat out the contest with two sore hamstrings. Jordan Danks made his first career start in his place. ... Houston placed OF Fernando Martinez on the seven-day disabled list due to post-concussion syndrome. The team recalled IF Matt Downs from Triple-A Oklahoma City to replace Martinez, who was hit in the head with a pitch last month at Oklahoma City.
