Dodgers 5, Braves 0:
Chad Billingsley tossed seven solid innings to win his sixth straight game, Mark Ellis had four RBIs and Luis Cruz homered as visiting Los Angeles blanked Atlanta.

Billingsley (10-9) allowed three hits, two walks and struck out four to become the first Dodgers’ hurler with six consecutive victories since Kevin Brown won nine straight in 2003. Billingsley hasn’t allowed a run in his last 27 1/3 road innings.

Ellis broke the game open with a three-run ground-rule double in the ninth. He also drove in an eighth-inning run on a single that was lost in the sun.

Cruz ended a scoreless tie in the fifth by drilling a one-out homer off Atlanta starter Mike Minor (6-10) that landed well into the seats in left field. Cruz hit two homers and went 6-for-11 in the series.

Ronald Belisario pitched a perfect eighth and Scott Elbert worked the ninth to complete the three-hit shutout for the Dodgers, who were again managed by Trey Hillman as Don Mattingly finished serving a two-game suspension.

Los Angeles took a 2-0 lead in the eighth as pinch hitter Juan Uribe walked, moved to third on Shane Victorino’s single and then scored when Ellis’ routine fly to shallow right field dropped in when Atlanta’s Jason Heyward lost the ball in the sun.

Minor lost for the fourth time in five decisions despite allowing just one run and five hits in seven innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez went 0-for-5 to end a streak of five consecutive multi-hit outings. … Atlanta 2B Dan Uggla dropped to 1-for-20 against Billingsley by going hitless in three at-bats against him. … Los Angeles activated Elbert (elbow) prior to the game and optioned infielder Elian Herrera to Triple-A Albuquerque. … Braves C Brian McCann (shoulder) was back in the lineup after missing the first two games of the series and went 0-for-3.
