Daniel Hudson threw seven scoreless innings and Justin Upton blasted his seventh home run to lead the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks to a 6-0 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.

Hudson (3-4) struck out six while giving up five hits with no walks to win his third consecutive game.

The Diamondbacks sent nine batters to the plate in the third inning and scored three runs on three singles and three walks. Upton's two-run homer in the fourth inning gave Arizona a 6-0 lead.

After allowing a combined seven runs in his first five starts, San Diego’s Dustin Moseley (1-4) gave up six runs on eight hits over five innings.

The Padres, who were shut out for the eighth time in their first 33 games, are 0-16 when they score two or fewer runs.
